perhaps, this weekend is the worst ever since the beginning of the year. i was bombarded with 3 exams this week, one in next week, another one in the following. not only that, this week's job is like hell hard to be done, with assignments to be checked getting more difficult, not only for students, but to graders as well. and yes, a disastrous weekend full of disasters . YAY..it's november..and tonight is the end of daylight savings, which means we're gonna get one hour free.
well, regardless of whatever happened this time around, in contrast to melancholic kind of previous postings, i wish to have this coming week to be just good as there'll be stat exam on wednesday.
this week, the whole nation was surprised by the news that razak baginda was eventually freed from the allegation on being in the complot to kill the mongolian beauty, altantuya. well, this case is sooo politically related, and people have been using the issue to gain support and whatever. yes, i'm not gonna talk about this from political view, neither to go against what has been decided by the high court, as everyone should respect what the court says. but, we really should think about think about this from the perspective that how bad human values have dropped to.
for those who know the story, the accusation that razak baginda had with 2 other suspects was they were allegedly involved in the murder of the mongolian beauty. the story goes on, and one interesting point to be made here is that razak baginda actually did admit that he had affair with the murdered mongolian lady for 8 months!! i can hardly understand how people now behave that way although he had his own family(wife and children), he still resorted to having affair with other lady.
the same thing happened with haneef basri too (engineer who was accused of killing a model and later freed). he had a family but still went out with another lady. you can imagine how bad this behaviour is, compared to how malay values put so much importance in having a good family and hence to build a very balanced, civilized society.
the list goes on to dumping of babies and all sorts of human crimes. this week only, there were two major events reflecting on how human values are viewed in current modern society. in south korea, the constitutional court over there declared that non marital sex is illegal, which then drew a lot of critics from locals and foreigners, as to how this decision is seen as denials on human rights and whatever. Well, actually, the law has actually been enforced for decades and it was actually just a luck for those defended it since, though majority of the judges voted to abolish the law, yet the law is still in force due to insufficient 2/3 majority. another major event was that indonesian parliament just passed the anti-porn bill, which again, is seen as suppressing human rights, especially hindus.
well, there is quite a number of different events as listed above. but they all refer to the same thing; how human values deteriorate to (might be) the lowest point ever. well. i'm kinda conservative and little bit sexist, but i don't care . what i care about is the common thing that all those events have. people no longer care much about their loyalty for their marriages, resulting to high divorce rates and bad family values are taught to the children.
we are so westernized, a common term used by people, and we become so selfish. you can be a perfect lover today, and become killer the next day. what causes this? it's our selfishness that cost us the falling of our human values. we don't trust each other and yes, we have good reason for that; it's becaue we think other people are selfish too.
despite of how good we are at anwering soalan Pendidikan Islam SPM about what needs to be done to alleviate moral values, still we are so damn bad at changing ourselves to be better. i just don't know how bad can this be, but one thing for sure, we always never ask for anything worse than this.
so, how are we gonna change this ugly condition of this world?? ask yourself, you know exactly what needs to be done.

ephemeral, yet eternal
it's true that we don't appreciate something till we lose it. this is often correlated with all sorts of grieves, especially death. yet, do you think due to death, we actually will never meet the deceased ever again?
we all believe that one day, we're all gonna die. it's just time that matters. yesterday, i got a call from my family that my uncle just died of severe heart condition. i was really sorry to hear that, since he was one of the uncles who i'm closest with since my father passed away. well, the sad news made me to ponder a while; though i feel very sad at that time, i started to think. is it death that separates us from people we love most?
here comes the logic, we believe that our lives in this world as temporary, and on the day of judgment, we will then know where we're gonna go after that (this is a muslim's belief). we also know that we're gonna be rewarded/punished with is totally dependent on what we've done and will do with the rest of our lives.
thus, in this specific case, if those who do good in their lives will (insyaallah) end up in heaven while who don't end up otherwise (na'uzubillah). hence, the only way we can meet those who passed away before us is to make good deeds and consequently end up at good place in here after.
this really explains that death isn't the cause of people to be separated, because our lives are ephemeral, yet the existence of our souls is eternal. GOD has reasons to have everything according his qada' and qadar (trust me, my father's death really made me stronger) and it's totally our job to follow the rules of the Almighty and pray for the best not only for us, but also for everyone.
though my late uncle isn't rich or famous (the common reasons people are liked), and just a village dweller, yet he had my highest respect for his sincerity to look after me since my father passed away. what an enormous deed had he done; no wonder prophet muhammad pbuh said in a hadith that who deserve good treatment from the society are single mothers and orphans.
MAY ALLAH BLESS HIS SOUL AND THOSE WHO DIED DEFENDING HIS WAY

alternating evil and good
Equality of every man has always been an issue since long time ago that philosophers of the past did discuss about it throughout their lives. some people believe that all men are created equal and hence denying the acceptability of any kind of apartheid or caste system.
what about things that have been going on around us? a lot of times when people try to classify anything that happen around them, they call them good or bad. there's something called balance of good and evil from what i learned from my class. and amazingly, there's no such thing as good and evil in our lives, just when both two are not in balance, we're then called in bad situation. this sounds so intuitively correct but is it always the case? if we don't know how evil is like, then can we tell how good is like then?
one more thing, are we always sure that the so-called bad is really bad? take an example, imagine a girl who has a boyfriend. one day a new girl who's more attractive come around (imagine they all taking the same class). one thing for sure, the first girl (one with bf) would feel challenged by the presence of the second girl. this is so natural and nothing's wrong with such feeling that the girl experiences. the issue here is; if you were the first girl and having this challenge facing you, how could u feel about this situation?
frankly speaking, i believe that most probably u might say this could be the most-hated ever kind of situation. well, this is one thing worth noticing. did u ever think of the situation as giving an advantage for u? the point i'm trying to make here is if u could regard the presence of the second girl as a test for ur bf and say if he ended up dumping you, believe me, it isn't as bad as u could imagine. wonder why? the fact that ur bf resorted to leave u is merely a good thing to u. it actually gets u out of a future problem early, as early as u couldn't imagine how early it actually is.
guess what? did u ever think that in fact one day, ur bf will have to, by no choice, be tested in such situation? this is what i believe what life is. it can be good, bad or even both.and they seem to keep alternating too. this cycle confuses me so much that i could no longer think which is which.
the same things happen in every other aspect of our lives. i think we're actually so confined with our very own lives that since birth, some other people can even tell how one's life is gonna be. if u were born to a very poor family with all sorts of conflicts, or in a country where it's instability is endless, someone can already tell how ur life is gonna be.
here comes the predetermined goal of life. different walk of lives has its own goal. if u have had education since early age, u might end up graduating from college, and if u didn't, u might end up anywhere else. somehow, we can never ever tell that since we have a scroll from college, we actually did better in our lives than those who don't. this is what happens to most people, and this is also why we always regard those who change this predetermined goal as unusual and unique. every man just has different journey of his life but they still end up at the same place.
THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE AS REALITY OF LIFE

will paklah get the 'tun'ship?
as what's been expected, paklah eventually decided to resign next march. somehow, do u think he's gonna be awarded the "tun"ship like his predecessors? unlike dr m for example, paklah resorted to quit amid of worsening racial relations, economic turmoil and during the political comeback by the opposition leader.
regardless whether he's forced to quit office or anything else that happened, the fact now is that we're gonna get new pm next march, if there's no change of government. it's quite funny to go over what actually happened in past years. but one thing that seems to be funniest is the statement by dr m saying there had been a gentleman agreement between him and paklah that paklah would have been the pm just for one term.
yet, paklah denied any existence of such agreement, which exactly means that we now gotta choose: "who's the cheater?" paklah or dr m?
this is a reflection on the political atmosphere of our beloved country. people don't care what it takes as long as their agenda is conveyed, though it would cost them dishonesty. I AM NOT TRYING TO PERSUADE YOU TO SUPPORT ANY POLITICAL PARTY HERE, JUST TO INFORM THE ACTUAL SCENARIO THAT HAS BEEN TAKING PLACE. otherwise, my scholarship would be revoked.
i don't care who wins or who lose in this political game, since there are always winners and losers in all games. but, what is disappointing is how much people value the dignity of their nation that they can afford to defame other people just to gain power.
another funny thing that i found out today was shah rukh khan is gonna be awarded datukship. i can't imagine how much goods has he done to malaysians that he's gonna be awarded such a title. even a government servant who's been serving for 30years doesn't get such a honor. maybe his best deed is giving aspirations to many malaysians who are hindustan movie-goers to live up their lives and hence other parts of societies no longer have to do their duty because those people have been aspired. (this sounds like a surplus, doesn't it?)
no matter how funny that can be, we must remember one thing. all those crapy little things happened in our country. whether we like it or not, we really have to embrace ourselves so that we're not gonna be laughing stock of the world.
ONE MORE TIME, i'm declaring that i'm not residing in any political side, because i'm not eligible and not supposed to do so, yet expressing our own view towards what's going on around us is definitely our freedom. we don't live under communist rule, neither in whatever autocratic or whatever kind of dictatorship.
GOD BLESS EVERYONE WHO DOES GOOD
cheers

stellar perspective
there're many things we shouldn't do, as we know it. Yet, we don't know everything we should do. time passes very fast, as fast that we don't even know what has been going on in our minds, which consequently cost us numerous internal conflicts.
take an example, what is taught by prophet is often misinterpreted or taken for granted just according to our convenience. when i was kid back in primary school (as how stepanov usually put it), i always think of being as best as i can. yet, everything that has been happening around us always put on barrier after a barrier just so that we can't be what we wish to be.
this kind of situation merely reminds me of what's taught in asian mythology class, the karma concept. though this concept is poorly depicted in the taught epics (i think), yet it seems applicable to all walk of lives, regardless what our backgrounds are.
this karma concepts is about what we get is caused by what we've done. this is so logical, it's just us whether to accept it or not. now, i'm trying to make a point.
what do you think that makes a robber a robber? there's a repitition there. But, the issue is, is it the robbery that occured makes a person to be described as robber? or is it something else that is actually a lot more complicated than that single event of robbery?
here comes the complexity: what if i say that a robbery is actually caused by not only by the convicted 'robber' , but also everyone in the community as a whole even the one who's robbed?
why is it so? let's see how the chain effect starts here: say it starts when a leader doesn't do his or her duty by not providing enough attention to development of manners to the youth generation of the nation.
this generation then grows up being professionals and as many would regard it, to be independent people. Yet, the reality is that there's no way we can say that humans are independent because they can't possibly live without each other.
stemming from the lack of manners in the first place, dishonesty comes out from the professionals and this is what's called corruption. corruption then becomes widespread and paralyzes a country's economy. due to this phenomenon, people can't afford to have proper education and they just can't better their lives up. here comes all sorts of crimes which have been making the world always-can-be-better place to live, instead of just be the best to live.
the reality is that all phenomenons are just a lot more complex as they seem to be. somehow, the best we can do is always be on track and never get cheated by those who have been cheating themselves for theit entire lives.

take a bow
i got the idea for the title while listening to leona's take a bow song....
somehow, i have no intention to talk about the song at all, just to give a piece of what i've been thinking all day long. I believe that we should all take a bow, just like what the song suggests.
guess what? we all have been doing good job to survive in whatever we're doing. whether being students, children or employers, we all have struggled just to keep things the way they are now.
this explains how important it is for us to appreciate ourselves that in most cases, not many people appreciate what we have been doing for them.
done with all sorts of motivations, i have an important thought here. it is very sad that malaysia is totally in political turmoil now. i just put so much hatred to what's happening at home that most politicians, just like actors and actresses, MUST end their drama and start working to serve the nation at their best. I don't freaking care what they are going to do next, but somehow, please always prioritize he people. With all sorts of threats and episodes which I am not interested at all, these politicians are like living for nothing.
without being partial, i just want to state one thing, get to work to your contituency and fulfill all kinds of promises u have been making all year long. Get ur asses right to people whom u made promises for, and just dont be such a stupid, satanic hypocrite. get out of the country if you are so because malaysians dont need you.
there are lots of people living in the villages without their children having proper education and basic amenities, and at the same time you always talk rubbish to gain support. SOOO NOT BENEFICIAL..hence, politicians, YOU GUYS CAN TAKE A BOW NOW, since your drama is no longer needed and must be ended, because there is no audience to watch the freaking drama anymore, unless u make out something new like whatever-drama with THE MUSICAL at the end of it.

math 409
i'm about to be speechless whenever i see 409 questions. guess what? setiap kali aku pandang soklan2 409, xde pape yg aku mampu pikirkan melainkan membelek2 soklan beberape kali sebelum membuka youtube untuk mendengar lagu2 yg dapat mententeramkan jiwa...

getting new life
everybody on the planet has their very own life, yet, there are quite many people mutter ayat2 'ko xde life'. what does 'life' mean in this context?
as what most people think, life is very personal and not every1 wishes to share their lives, and if they do, not entirely 100% is told to other people, depending on the closeness to each other.
sebagai manusia biasa, sungguhpun ak masih muda remaja (about to be 20 this jan), tapi aku merasakan ak sebagai seorang yang sungguh tua. bukan itu sahaja, malah rakan2 menganggap ak sangat conservative dan tidak mengikut peralihan zaman.
to refute whatever yg org pikir pasal life2 ni, mari kite menyenaraikan perkara2 yg dilihat sebagai boleh membawa life kepada org2 zaman sekarang:
1.main game
-ak hanya main game semasa kanak2 dan awal remaja, kemudiannya ak tidak lg berminat
2. clubbing
-ak x pernah terfikir mau g club, kerana tiada erti untuk berada di kelab melainkan dosa2 kering
3.berjiwang
-sungguh ak pernah cuba, namun aku menyimpulkan bahawa berjiwang hanyalah sesuai dilakukan setelah ade degree. no degree, no talk. unless berjiwang dan berkawin, no problem pasal mengelakkan dosa
-there's no way no one reads this blog, coz at least i'm a reader too-

never for 'first time'
Most people will have their first words in their first blogs filled with 'first time', but it's not the case for me. I hate to use it as much as I love to use it for this time.
haih, memandangkan bhs inggeris ak isn't as good as others', lebih baiknya aku menulis dalam bahasa melayu, silap (bahasa malaysia). memang sampah, asyik tukar2 je, kasihan sasbadi kene tukar2 muka buku depan buku rujukan bahasa melayu.
ak sangat risau akan masa depan negaraku tercinta, yang bakal menyaksikan biggest downturn in decades. Semoga Allah memberkati tanah airku, serta melindunginya daripada semua jenis perosak.
seronok jugak blogging, kalo xde org bace, ak sendiri pon bole bace. dot for now.nanti sambung lagi
